Who said running communities are hard?

Published: September 27th, 2006

Whoever said that running communities are hard, well they were damn right!

They were damn right.

The best advice I could give any community owner that is starting up, be prepared. Be prepared for what you may ask? Oh, nothing really. Just a big fat spoon of #^)(#^)T drama.

I suspect that every community goes through some sort of drama about 10 months after it is created. Or right before the point in where tons of activity starts to flow through.

The drama will probably spark in areas you never thought they would. Basically everywhere at once. It’s like it all builds up and just explodes. Though the outcome is definitely worth it. It clears up a lot of things and makes changes for the better. It’s like forum natural evolution.

As a summary, if you run a forum; prepare yourself for drama at a couple points.
