FDA Okays Food From Cloned Animals

FDA okays food from cloned animals, how do you feel about that?

food from cloned animals

Is it just me, or does the sound of this just sound “weird and eerie?”. The FDA now allows the market to have food… that’s not really natural anymore. Cows are getting cloned, and now we can eat their cloned ass. Maybe cloning really won’t do anything but that, either way… it’s still weird.

It seems I’m not the only one:

Consumer groups say labels are a must, because surveys have shown people to be uncomfortable with the idea of cloned livestock.

I really can’t wait until I start seeing these labels. I think that it would just be funny to look at some people’s faces. “Honey, I’m bringing in cloned meat tonight!” - “Hell yes, my favorite!”.

It seems that there are still concerns though:

Critics of cloning say the verdict is still out on the safety of food from cloned animals.

Safety? Well hopefully they don’t mean another strain of something like the Mad Cow Disease.

Cloning lets farmers and ranchers make copies of exceptional animals, such as pigs that fatten rapidly or cows that are superior milk producers.

All it comes down to though, is food. And food makes me happy, so let’s go for it. Fuck ethics. Give me my protein.
