Usability Testing (Focus Groups)
Published: August 12th, 2007A reason to do a focus group, it’s amazing.
I just did my first Focus Group today (Citrusbyte focus group for our client mojobaby.com) and my reaction was wow.
I never realized how different people use websites compared to myself, or other technical-savy people. It really seems like a lot of people truly need simplicity, without it they get completely lost. This experience was really important and interesting for me. I’d recommend learning about some usability topics if you’re a web-developer. In fact, after today, I’d say it’s extremely critical that you read at least a couple books. I’ve skimmed through Don’t Make Me Think and that was absolutely fantastic for the amount of time I put into it.
Either host a Focus Group, or read some books, take your pick. (I’ve done both, and it rocks!)

Ready. Set. Go.
In terms of the formatting, you're allowed to use markdown, textile, or basic html; it's truly up to you -- what strikes your fancy?
You don't have to worry about your e-mail address being sold to a russian-spam-mafia. I'm only going to use it for my own weird needs; like asking you out for a date on a lonely night of coding.
