Matz Releases!
Matz released and announced Ruby 1.9.0 on the ruby-talk mailing list.
If you have any free time over the next couple days; it would be a perfect time to check out the new Ruby Version, and make sure all your libraries are compatible with Ruby 1.9.0.
Caution: Compatibility Issues
As mentioned in my previous post by a commenter, there are still some compatibility issues with Rails 2.0.2 and Ruby 1.9.0. I also believe that there are a couple major libraries that are not compatible as well, one of the top of my head being: Mongrel. I’m sure you are all very familiar with that puppy!
So, go ahead and play with our beautiful new christmas present and try to help the community out with compatibility patches!
