It’s that time again: Railsconf!
Published: January 29th, 2008I know you all had fun at Railsconf 2007, and if you weren’t there… you now have another chance!
Railsconf registration opened today. I’m almost shocked because I totally predicted registration is opening today. Proof? Take a look at this post.
Which reminds me, 2008 Railsconf tickets open very soon; it could actually be tomorrow..
Bam, I am awesome!
Prediction #2
I also predict that the tickets will sell out within 48 hours. Who wants to put a wager on this? Comment if you’re going or bought tickets, we’ll have some party time together.

I’ll be going, with at least three of my coworkers from [Viget](http://www.viget.com) - I think 48 hours might be a bit ambitious, though. I say they’ll last a full week.
I signed up today, as did two colleagues. I suspect it’ll take a couple weeks to sell out, but we’ll see…
Count me in, bought my ticket yesterday. I also am a native Portlandian so it should be double fun for me :)

I’m surprised that we haven’t seen any bragging on the Rails blog yet….”92% of seats are sold in the first 36 hours!!!ZOMG!” or something.
It makes me wonder if the price hike had a bigger effect on sales than assumed? Though obviously, the O’Reilly have little to gain by the conference selling out quickly. They’d be best off if they could determine the price that would only find enough attendees such that it sells out the day before the thing starts. If this one takes awhile to reach capacity, maybe next year it will stay under $1000. If it blows out in a week, next year we could be paying java conference money.
Ready. Set. Go.

You don't have to worry about your e-mail address being sold to a russian-spam-mafia. I'm only going to use it for my own weird needs; like asking you out for a date on a lonely night of coding.
